Thanksgiving is a traditional holiday celebrated mainly in the United States. It is a time when people come together with family and friends to say “thank you” for what they have, to share a meal and to enjoy spending time together. Typical Thanksgiving food includes turkey, pumpkin pie and apples, which stand for harvest and gratitude (Dankbarkeit). Learning about Thanksgiving helps us understand English-speaking cultures better and makes our English lessons more practical and hands-on.
To celebrate Thanksgiving, our English class 7d decided to do something special: we made apple crumble together.
First, we peeled the apples and cut them into small pieces. Then we prepared the crumbles from flour and butter and put everything together. Instead of using an oven, we made our apple crumble in the microwave, which was quick and easy.
It was great teamwork, and everyone helped. In the end, our classroom smelled delicious, and the apple crumble tasted even better. This activity made learning English fun and unforgettable for all of us.
